From camera to controller.
Step by step.

A practical starting point for configuring your first LSDetect production inspection.

1

Connect a camera

Choose a USB camera or enter an RTSP stream, then select orientation and resolution.

2

Create a job

A job stores the source, image adjustments, inspection regions, training and PLC assignments.

3

Add regions

Draw boxes or circles around the visual features that determine whether the part is acceptable.

4

Teach examples

Capture representative PASS and FAIL examples, then tune the calibrated threshold if required.

5

Assign PLC bits

Configure the controller route and result tag, then link each region to a bit from 0 to 255.

6

Run production

Choose the required view count, assign jobs and monitor live inspection results.

PLC

Rockwell controller requirements

Create an eight-element DINT array in Studio 5000, enter the controller route and tag name in LSDetect, assign result bits, then enable output. The heartbeat occupies one selected bit in the same 256-bit array.
